Technology Architect – Cross Domain – Pega BPM/Java

  • Practice Development & Integration

  • Technologies Development Skills

  • Location Utrecht, Netherlands

Job description

As a Solution Architect you work in a dynamic department that is in the spotlight with all new developments and is becoming increasingly important. Cross Channel Banking via virtual channels such as the internet, but certainly with mobile devices, is taking off. At our client site, the role of Solution Architect can be broadly divided into 3 focus areas: realization, infrastructure and integration.

You prepare the non-functional requirements for the implementation of applications. You also assist in that area with the purchase of a standard package. During and after the realization you check whether the solution has been built and implemented accordance the requirements set by you. In the production process you contribute within each phase: the contribution consists of consultancy (solicited and unsolicited advice), testing and checking and elaborating of engineering requirements and products. You like analytical puzzles and you have an overview. You are experienced in designing software architectures. Key concepts in our software solutions are: reduction of complexity, adaptable, maintainable on the long term and easily tangible.

On the infrastructural level you are responsible for defining the development environments that are used to build the solution, including the tools. You are also responsible for designing an efficient, stable and safe (secure) production environment. You take the current client frameworks as a starting point. You oversee, analyse and understand the infrastructure landscape and contribute to the design.

On a technical level, you can easily talk about various techniques such as Enterprise Java, IBM WebSphere, Pega PRPC, Linux, Databases, Security, Cloud, Containers, Docker, Kubernetus, Networks and Monitoring.

You have a sense of exploitation and management issues. The framework conditions in terms of environments include performance, reliability, availability, integrity and confidentiality.

Concerning the integration of the realized solution in the client landscape, you are responsible for all technical requirements. You choose which technical protocols are used and to what extent standards can be followed for the realization of web services. You actively participate in choices such as asynchronous versus synchronous and online versus batch. The focus is on careful integration of the application and application components in the existing client system landscape.
