Staff Engineer – Global Cyber Security Platform – 100% Remote

 

I am currently recruiting for a Market-Leading Cyber Security organization who are searching for a Staff engineer (aka Principle Software Engineer) to join a rapidly growing organization, based out of Dusseldorf hiring remotely all across Germany and Europe.

 

Their product solves a critical issue in Cyber Security, it acts as an educational platform to make the users Cyber-safe thus reducing cyberattacks and threats by more than 90%, and has done so for 1000s of global organizations. The business is thriving more than ever before, already generating €millions in revenue, and has also secured a further €73 Million investment to help them scale from 300 to 600 employees.

 

As a Staff Engineer, you will be part of a team of expert Software engineers who are capable of solving any technical issues, which can range from complex API development, cloud integration, software optimization, monitoring & database versioning, architecture for scalable microservices, automating & simplifying the development lifecycle and many other complex issues. You will contribute further to their success and will be given the luxury to function in a truly agile set-up, with the freedom to share & learn new ideas while providing technical support and guidelines to the product development teams. In this hugely important role, you live and breathe best practices to enable our product teams to become more effective and successful!

 

Required skills:

• 10+ years of experience in backend, frontend development operations of large scale SaaS environments
• Good understanding of Modern software architecture and cloud architecture
• Familiar with cybersecurity practices with technical knowledge in web application / API security
• Understanding of developing complex APIs for the web and know how to build and operate them in a performant, secure and scalable way?
• Great reporting and communication skills
• Experience working on Saas products is a plus
• You are ambitious, motivated and performance-driven with the ability to tackle things head on
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
