SRE/DevOps Support Engineer – 100% remote – 6 months+

For a large global client we are looking for an SRE/DevOps Support Engineer for a 6 month contract that will be extended for 1 year thereafter, and 100% remote throughout. Unfortunately we cannot accept any UK based applicants.

The Role and Your Experience

  • Manage applications to maximize uptime, meet SLO to ensure business continuity.
  • Experience in code- and issue analysis. Experience with programming languages like Java.
  • Fundamentals of HTML & CSS.
  • Log / Stacktrace analysis.
  • Experience managing Linux/Unix systems or Docker and container schedulers, Understanding of cloud computing concepts with AWS
  • Strong knowledge in regular expressions, scripting and dynamic languages (Bash, Python, Ruby, Go)
  • Proven experience in AWS, IaC, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, API gateway, service mesh, distributed tracing, deployment strategies
  • Knowledge in agile working practices, Infrastructure-as-Code, Improving CI/CD (Artifactory, Gitlab, Jenkins, Pipeline, Automate Deployment Jobs)
  • Check the health of application and housekeeping (e.g. delete logs, tune performance) and Issue resolution (analysis, provide solution) and processing of reported support tickets.
  • Understanding ITIL procedures (incident – problem – change request – post-incident reviews)
