Senior System Engineer Electrical Propulsion

Your Tasks:

• Be the leading System Engineer of the Electric Propulsion Unit Team
• Drive the development of the Electric Propulsion Unit according to aerospace standards up to the certification and entry into service
• Ensure that the Electric Propulsion Unit developed by the supplier is meeting all safety and performances requirements
• Learn from the Aircraft Group how aerospace development processes are deployed for the Volocity and coach the team members how to apply them internally and at the supplier.

Qualifications

• MSc, Ph.D. or equivalent degree in engineering (mechatronics, electronics, power engineering, aerospace, physics or related fields) or similar work experience
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electric systems development, e.g. electric engine or operation system
• Track record of developing electrical components, ideally for Aerospace
• Master Aerospace standards (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754A…)
• Knowledge of system simulation required (Electric, Thermal)
• A structured way of working, high sense of reliability and accountability
• Proven track record of Supplier Management in complex development (aerospace in a plus)
• Team player, self-starter, flexibility
• Excellent written and spoken English/German skills
