Senior Backend Engineer (Java & AWS) – Leading Ecommerce Company – Munich

We are recruiting for a global leader in the Ecommerce sector headquartered in Munich and are currently searching for a senior back-end engineer to join one of their core teams. The business is flourishing more than ever before; they had €2.14 billion in turnovers last year and are on target to beat this record and generate over €2.65 Billion in 2022.

In this particular team, you will be responsible for the Backend Development of all customer facing product listing pages. This area of the platform has to handle over 10 Million requests per day. The team is creating innovative solutions to create a reactive application that can attract & personalise the pages for each customer. Requirements

• 5+ years practical with Java-based technology stack building cloud-native applications
• Designing, developing, implementing, and delivering cloud-native systems as well as containerised microservice-based systems
• Practical experience with DevOps tools and practices (container orchestration, CI, monitoring and alerting, AWS)
• Passionate about writing clean code, modular, testable code, designed with modern architectural principles in mind and use of design patterns
• Focus on automated testing and good experience with different levels of tests (unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests)
• Trust, self-organisation, shared responsibility describe the best environment for you to thrive in
• Fluency in English and good communication skills (written & spoken)
