SAP SD OTC Consultant S/4 HANA

For a global operating client Next Ventures are currently looking for the following:


1 Senior Consultants O2C (Order-to-Cash):

Team member Order-to-Cash in an agile SAP S/4HANA 1809 template build project. The project is a SAP template design project with S/4HANA. The organization will be set up with 6 business teams (Lead-to-Order, Service-to-Retention, Order-to-Cash, Forcast-to-Stock, Purchase-to-Pay, Record-to-Report) and several platform teams (development, data migration, etc.). The template build phase is planned from February until December 2019 followed by (pilot) roll outs throughout Q1/2022 (Europe scope), finalized 2025. The end date of the assignment may change and be enhanced to cover as well pilot rollouts.

Main focus of the activities is the process design for Order-to-Cash of finished goods and aftersales ((field) services, spare parts, etc.) to end customers, wholesellers, installers and intermediates in S/4HANA 1809. The activities will be done in close cooperation with L2O (Salesforce Lightning), S2R (mainly field service, system in decision, C/4HANA or Salesforce) and F2S for advanced aATP. One key pain point is the current grown & diverse setup of the processes with relatively high autonomy of the Sales Organizations parallel to an existing environment including GTS (integration and S/4HANA relateled setup in scope, GTS not in scope).

Main activities:

Map business requirements to S/4 standard functionality (SAP best practices) following an to-be approach proposing functionality and processes

Identify gaps and integration requirements, propose solutions towards SAP S/4 standard

Participate in scrum meetings and refine the requirements to be delivered in 4 week sprints

Work together with the development team and migration team

Build the template

Document, test and show the results at the end of the Sprints


Primary: Proven experience in international template build and rollout project. Relevant experience in SD > 5 years.

Technical core competencies within SD. Good integration know-how to MM, WM-integration, service management (field service related, no call centers).

Understands and has experience with O2C related topics like Sales Order Management, EDI, cross company sales and demand planning, cross-company payment harmonisation (conditions and pricing), contract Management, Customer Master Data harmonization, returns and warranty management, O2C related KPIs and analytics, delivery management, warehouse integration topics, O2C related forms, integration of LSPs, O2C related planning and forecasting (integration needs with BI), leverage of Fiori apps, credit management, VMI (Vendor management inventory), Stock-business, Consignment stock, Integration with service management, Invoicing/ Billing, Freights, Transportation Management, Online bank exchange information, FI-AR integration. We do not expect deep knowledge in every mentioned area. However, a sound understanding of the overall integration is necessary.

Able to translate business requirements into SAP language. Latest SAP Hana knowhow (1809), good overview on latest status of SAP Hana Simplification list, Fiori apps and possible impacts on the project scope. Good communication and people interaction skills (ability to communicate in German is a big plus, but not a must). Experience in workshop execution and in shared problem solution finding together with the teams.

Strives for pramatic O2C related solutions and sound understanding in problem re-solution finding techniques.

Secondary: Experience with field service processes (in CRM, ECC etc.), integration of Global Trade and Customs Management into S/4 and know how in transportation management is a plus. Experience in agile practises, Knowledge about agile value and principles, working experience in an scaled agile environment. Basic process modelling knowledge (preferably in ARIS) as the process world modelled in ARIS is the basis for the template design and build. Solution Manager integration knowledge with SAP Activate method is a big plus. Basic Atlassian Jira and Confluence experience highly welcome.
