Salesforce Business Analyst

As a Salesforce Business Analyst, you’ll be joining a fast-growing, vibrant business within the Salesforce/Onboarding team. You will thrive on data and business analysis, providing key business insights based on analysing multiple data sources. You will take initiative to identify what the business should be tracking and evaluating and will be able to think through problems and make actionable recommendations. You will work with colleagues across Engineering, Product, PMO and Business Intelligence and support end users in teams such as Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership, manage and develop business processes within Salesforce, often working on multiple key projects at any one time.
  • Work closely with the Salesforce Product Manager and Salesforce team to prioritise workload appropriately and provide updates.
  • Own the business requirements of new customer features, system enhancements and bug fixes to ensure they are translated to the Salesforce team in order to build a solution that is fit for purpose and deliver the optimal customer experience.
  • Bridge the gap between the Business and Engineering in order to provide a business facing contact for Salesforce and provide updates to business stakeholders on next priorities and upcoming releases.
  • Adopt Agile development approach from requirements gathering, testing to release and training and follow agreed project governance framework, change management and testing protocols.
  • Key stakeholder to the Salesforce team throughout the Development lifecycle in order to articulate business requirements and support the team through the build to release lifecycle.
  • Creation of user stories from high level requirements.
  • Support the product owner to ensure Agile rhythms are in place – attending stand ups, demos, retrospectives.
  • Work with key business stakeholder to ensure requirements are aligned to business value and priorities.
  • Maintain the associated documentation for projects and small improvements including Functional Specification documents, User Acceptance stories and sign-off documentation.
  • Attend project and product meetings, facilitate workshops with Key Stakeholders understanding needs, managing expectations and ensuring outputs are accurate and deliver benefit.
  • Proactively develop own knowledge of system capabilities (e.g. new release features) and propose areas for development to promote the business's principles and foster a collaborative approach to solution delivery and engagement.


Experience and knowledge required

  • 2 years’ minimum experience in a Business Analyst role for a B2B Sales focussed business.
  • ADM201 certification or Sales or Service Cloud Certification desirable
  • Strong experience working with Sales and Service Cloud.
  • Project Management experience, adopting Agile methodology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and Visio.
  • Experience supporting Sales Operations desirable.
  • Experience leveraging and configuring AppExchange products and integrations to develop a solution.
  • In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce platform.
