I am currently working closely with a Energy who are urgently looking for a PMO. The role is based in Hannover, Gemany, Long term contract. 

Project Description:

  • Reporting to the programme manager, the roleholder will take responsibility for the following deliverables and activites
  • working with the project managers, maintain a programme plan based on milestones within the individual project plans
  • produce weekly milestone targets extracted from the programme plan
  • create and maintain a programme-level RAIDD log
  • manage programme budgets and financial topics, including;
    tracking project spend against purchase orders
    creating spend forecasts
    managing accruals
    liaising with central finance functions, and providing information as requested
  • as required, create standard template PMO documents for use by the project managers
  • collate weekly reports from the project managers into a single programme-level report
  • maintain the programme milestone plan using input from project managers
  • sense-check the project managers'''' individual plans for completeness and consistency
  • provide requested information to the Enterprise PMO team
  • provide general ad-hoc assistance to the programme manager when required
  • The role will be based in Hannover, Germany with some travel to Essen. Only candidates with the relevant EU work permits can be considered for this role

 

Requirements:

  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken
  • Adaptable, able to deliver and function effectively in a fluid environment with minimal supervision, while adhering to guidance from management
  • Persistent and a good problem-solver, able to track issues to source and suggest solutions
  • Assertive, able to challenge when necessary while maintaining good working relationships
  • Robust, comfortable with open dialogue and constructive challenge from others
  • Experience of working in a challenging environment where tact, diplomacy, excellent relationship management and communication skills are critical to positively influence relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to handle multiple parallel tasks and adapt to an agile culture
  • Able to build relationships a wide network of stakeholders
  • Experience working within virtual teams
  • Able to produce good-quality presentation material and documentation
  • Methodical, able to bring structure to complex environments

Mandatory

– Several years of experience as a Programme Management Office lead
– Strong experience creating and maintaining programme budget Excel spreadsheets and financial spend forecasts
– experience managing accruals and tracking project spend against purchase orders
– Experience delivering effectively within a process-driven corporate enterprise IT environment
– Strong MS Project skills
– Strong MS Powerpoint skills, skilled in creating good-quality presentation material Preferred;

– Holds a current (not lapsed) Project Management certification
– experience using SAP and Aptio.
