IT Project Manager 

Next Ventures are executing a search for an IT Project Manager with Hand on skills –experience with Change and transformation projects. Azure Cloud ETL , Security and GDPR are valuable.


Responsible for the realization of regional solutions. This means the configuration, development, and interfacing of regional and HQ applications.

The team is also responsible for application change management, configuration management and system governance.


Key partners include but not limited to Local IT teams (country-specific), Global/Local Business, external vendors/integrators, and Global/Regional IT Teams such as Digital, Supply Chain, Architecture, Infrastructure and Security.



The IT Project Manager Data Insight and Integration will:



Act as a liaison between the global, regional and local organisations scope (Europe) for all IT related project matters

Establish a Regional and Local (per country) implementation roadmap in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders (Global/Regional/Local)

Take the lead in organizing, executing and delivering regional and multi-country projects

Coordinate delivery teams including internal teams and external vendors

Manage and control IT budget, scope and quality of the deliverables

Define a template approach, allowing a degree of localization and enhancements (80/20)

Translate the Business Requirements into Data Requirements and establish the necessary Data Governance

Report to and manage expectations of Business and IT stakeholders

Work closely with the Business Program Director, Solution Provider and Local Brands

Work closely with cross-functional teams like Architecture, ISO, Infrastructure, Legal…

Lead virtual teams (Europe), ready to travel in the different countries where implementation takes place (typically 30%, might be higher depending on the project phase)



Tasks and responsibilities



Project Management:


Plan and manage project phases from initiation, planning, execution to operations

Lead and coordinate virtual teams and manage (both internal and external) resources

Ensure delivery and activities across multiple locations / countries

Plan and preside regular (daily/weekly) project status meetings and calls

Track follow-up actions and deliverables to meet the agreed milestones

Prepare and present project status in Steering Committees

Keep track of the project status and inform all stakeholders about progress and timelines

Update the project planning whenever required

Monitor quality and duration of each project step

Manage scope control and change management

Manage communication with both internal stakeholders and external partners

Works self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members





Education and training


Master’s degree in Information Technology and/or sciences or equivalent by experience

Project Management certifications such as PMP/Prince2 will be considered as an asset




Successful experience in leading virtual teams in an international environment

Experience in implementing a leading enterprise Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Cloud solutions (Azure)

Proven experience of 5-10 years in project management with multi-country deployments preferably in a retail environment

Proven experience in Data insights and Data Integration (ETL) projects.

Proven experience with release and change management (ITIL)

Familiar with GDPR, Privacy, Security and Compliance aspects

Technical knowledge and skills




Experience in both small and large projects, in a matrix organization and virtual teams

Project Management practitioner with ability to lead deliveries effectively

Able to read, understand, challenge and update functional specification documents, release notes, and technical documentation

Able to translate business requirements into data requirements, data ownership and data governance

Working experience in standard IT processes (change management, release management, incident management, …)

Understanding of potential impacts on cross functional processes

Aptitude and willingness to acquire technical knowledge of the applications used within the organisation

Experience in multi-cultural and cross-country environments

Experience in working with external service providers and system integrators

Excellent command of Microsoft solutions (Office, Project, Powerpoint, Visio)



Mandatory: excellent command of the English language, both written & spoken

Knowledge of at least one of the other languages used within the European Banners (especially Dutch, French, Greek, Romanian, Serbian or Czech) will be considered an asset.






The IT Project Manager will be part of the Center of Excellence Customer Engagement and Operations, based in Brussels (Belgium).


The position will require traveling (mainly in Europe) up to 30% of the time, depending on the nature and the duration of the assigned projects.
