(Senior) DevOps Engineer – Dortmund

 

Next Ventures are proudly partnered with a leading  business specialising in delivering cutting-edge Cloud products.  

 

They are a part of a large global business and have decided to set up a small venture focusing on Cloud only – DevOps, Systems Administration, Cloud Consulting… and are currently looking to add a talented DevOps Engineer to their expanding team in Dortmund.

The company has a cool start-up environment (even though they are fully owned by a large successful business) where the team collaborate to come up with innovative and cutting-edge ideas to stay ahead of the curve – the perfect environment for someone who wants to be creative and would like to be challenged!

 

Role:

• • Support of the team in the operation of the existing server systems based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS and the existing LAN / WAN data network
  • Assistance in remote maintenance of the data centers in Germany
  • Support in the deployment and operation of the applications developed in-house
  • Support for components of the development environment (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Artifactory, Git)

 

Requirements:

• • Linux and network knowledge down to the protocol level, handling of the command line
  • Programming knowledge in at least one scripting language
  • Knowledge of Icinga, Puppet, Ansible and Git, specifically experience with Gitlab is an advantage
  • Experience with highly available microservice-driven architectures and the associated technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes

  • Must be Fluent in German
