Job Description
The ETL configurator with solid knowledge of Data Warehousing in complex government environments, short-term activities described below is to be carried out within the team Source Outcrops:

  • Migration of Data from the existing DWHs to the DIM;
  • Designing/building/maintaining ETL/ELT processes for making data available to end users in the source zone of the DIM;
  • Design/build/maintain ETL metadata for making data available to end users;
  • Configuring already developed harnesses (generic data loading software) for connecting new source systems;
  • Running load control queries, assessing the results and preparing associated test reports;
  • Document the ETL/ELT processes and create and maintain data models.

Additional requirements for this assignment:

  • At least 3 years of demonstrable programming experience with Oracle PL/SQL and basic knowledge of Linux scripting in the past 5 years;
  • At least 1 year of demonstrable work experience in IBM DataStage or comparable ETL tooling such as IBM InfoSphere, Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS or Talend, in the past 3 years;
  • At least 1 year of demonstrable work experience with interface development or interface configuration and data warehouses in the past 3 years;
  • Minimum of 1 year demonstrable work experience working with large data sets in the past 3 years;
  • Understanding relational database systems and concepts;
  • The ability to understand the link between data elements and business concepts and their interrelationships;
  • A completed ICT training at least at MBO level or comparable;
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques regarding Agile/Scrum;
  • Affinity with database modeling techniques such as data vault is an advantage;
  • Affinity with metadata tooling (preferably IBM IGC, IBM IDA) is an advantage;
  • Good analytical ability;
  • High degree of independence and self-reliance;
  • Secure and critical working method.
