Data Engineer

Preferred geographic location: ideally Las Vegas but remote within 3 hours of the Pacific timezone works too.

Technical qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data management, data engineering and/or software engineering.

• 2+ years of experience in Python programming

• 3+ years creating or operating ETLs or ELTs

• 2+ years of experience with SQL

• Experience with recognized industry patterns, methodologies, and techniques

Organizational qualifications

• Ability to implement a technical solution based on an approved design (eg: TDD)

• Ability to divide 1 week’s worth of work into daily tasks (eg: Jira tickets) and implement

• Ability to execute with limited supervision beyond:

  • Daily standup

  • Weekly cadence meeting

  • As needed input from product manager or other project members

Bonus qualifications

• Experience with Airflow

• Experience with DBT

• Experience with REST services and microservices

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Experience with Terraform

• Experience with Snowflake or other data warehouses
