Job Description

As a Platform Engineer, you will contribute to the development of the client Platform for your customers (value delivery teams). You will have a shared responsibility to run the Backbase Forms platform on virtual public cloud (AWS).

You will provide digital accelerators (component- and service libraries, custom plugins, etc.), standard & guidelines and third line support to the teams working on our platforms.

You deliberate decision making with respect to design and development of functionality within the context of the development tasks you work on. You take responsibility for the quality of the functionality you develop.

As a Platform Engineer you will be part of a Scum Agile development team. Some of the development team’s responsibilities include delivering work in sprints and ensuring transparency during the sprint in daily scrums.

You take responsibility for estimating, planning, and managing all of your development tasks. You will collaborate closely with all the other members of your development team to take a shared responsibility for the overall efforts the team has committed to.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

• 3-10 years of experience in software development and delivery;
• Experience with Scrum and the ability to build software using Scrum in real-world situations;
• Experience in customer facing environments, with daily costumer interaction, these can be internal or external customers.
• Experience with/ exposure to model driven development;
• Willingness to embrace new methods for solving age-old problems;
• Knowledge and experience in one or some of the following disciplines is a must: Backbase Studio, Front End (Angular) development, Java development, testing and test automation, infrastructure (AWS) and solution engineering!
