The Next Step Academy

The Next Step Academy has been designed to set you up for success by offering you a chance to experience all recruitment has to offer in a friendly, fast paced and encouraging environment. Through a programme of blended learning we get our academy super stars involved in off desk training, on desk coaching, self-learning projects, presentations and shadowing our sales floor. Your on-going development has been carefully planned and as your journey continues we advance your capabilities and take your career to the next level.

The Next Step Process

  • Next Step Academy - Induction week

    Joining as a resourcer your first week will immerse you in all the skills and knowledge you need to effectively approach candidates with confidence. This week of classroom lead training practice and team-based development will allow you to start your NV career with confidence in both your abilities and the steps you can take to progress quickly.

  • Next Step Academy - Group Based Development

    Joining as part of a group, the academy progresses to work as a group with a trainer on hand to support you in working real jobs across our different markets. This gives a rounded view of the technologies and types of recruitment we do. With clear skills you know what you’re working on, we provide call coaching, refresher sessions mentoring and real-life experience to get you up and running fast

  • Next Step Academy Handover - Moving on Desk

    At the end of the first month you’ll be equipped with the key skills to source, attract and manage candidates, at this point you move across to a team based on your learning style, technology interests and personality types to find the best manager and team for you. At this point you will be given clear targets and development plans to help your progress in your first month with continued support from L&D.

  • Next Step Academy – Continued development

    At the end of your first month on desk you will present the knowledge and skills you have gained thus far and start to learn further skills in recruitment process management and even begin taking references from clients to start building the relationships for your future 360 role

  • Next Step Academy – Moving into Client work

    Since moving on desk you will be set clear trigger targets which when hit will progress you to a 360 business development role; we won’t hold you back based on time, instead based on your own skills and success. At this point you will work through full program on client development; you will work alongside other resourcers hitting the same point in their career through: classroom, roleplay, call coaching and consistent trainer support over a 5 week period. This program is proven to give you the confidence and ability to create your own market!
