Next Ventures is a recruiter, with the highest aspirations. We are determined to be to the best source of niche technology talent to Large Enterprise through focus and dedication to quality delivery. This passion, instilled through its founders, Richard Lacey and Darren Rosenfeld is now part of the company’s DNA and is the reason that we are a trusted partner to an impressive list of clients and consultancies.

TIMELINE

Where it all began

  • 2001

    Richard Lacey and Darren Rosenfeld incorporate Next Ventures with a vision to build a niche technology recruitment business with a very clear focus on quality of delivery as the key differentiator. Initial market was Sales Professionals into the Technology Vendors.

  • 2005

    During our early years we followed a strategic plan to concentrate on building a sizable capital reserve to use for re-investment purposes as soon as we believed he market was right for growth. Revenue breaks through the £1m milestone.

  • 2006

    Began our focus on SAP enterprise technology and attracting the best IT technology recruiters to form a dedicated SAP team. This key practice has remained a core competence throughout our evolution. Large Enterprise became our focus and culture was futher enhanced to attract Senior recruiters looking for autonomy to recruit their way and to be the most Generous Company in the IT recruitment sector. Comp, Commissions, Sales incentives became market leading!

  • 2007

    The strategy for growth succeeds with revenue increasing from £1m in 2005 to £7m in 2007.

  • 2009

    Next Ventures is listed in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 recognising the success and rapid growth with sales revenue climbing to £8m in that year. The company headcount totals 26 highly motivated recruitment professional, as focused on delivery of the highest standards.

  • 2010

    This year sees annual sales of £14m and a place in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 once more. Next Ventures continue to invest in building the team of talented technology recruiters with headcount growing to 38.

  • 2011

    Ambitious targets were set and attained for this year, the annual figure of £23m in revenue saw us rewarded with a third consecutive listing in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100. The Next Ventures team, now numbering 51, were rewarded with Las Vegas trip offered to all staff to thank them for their achievements.

  • 2012

    Next Ventures move to impressive new offices at 140 Aldersgate Street, central London. Recruiter Magazine pick us out as one to watch, including NV in their HOT100 for growth achieved. The annual incentive trip becomes in instant tradition with 6 nights in Miami and the Bahamas for this year.

  • 2013

    In response to demand and success in the DACH market Next Ventures GmbH is incorporated and German office opened. Recruiter Magazine once more recognise our impressive growth and list us in their HOT100 list. For the annual incentive trip 7 nights in Barbados was the tempting reward. Next ventures are recognised as a Best Small Company to Work For in the Sunday Times sponsored survey.

  • 2014

    This year sees our overseas growth recognised by The Sunday Times International Track 200 list. Once more we are accredited by Best Small Companies to Work For employee engagement survey. Overseas offices in Switzerland and Brazil are incorporated and the vital Swiss SECO licence is acquired. Annual incentive trip heads to Mexico for 7 nights in Cancun.

  • 2015

    Overseas activity continues to grow and in response the Netherlands subsidiary is incorporated with office in Amsterdam. The Next Ventures team now numbers 70 technology focused recruitment professionals. Mexico proved an irresistible draw for the annual trip which returned, this time for 7 nights to Playa del Carmen.

  • 2016

    With continued success both at home but notably overseas sales climb to £33m. Next Ventures Inc is incorporated to service the USA and AUG licence is attained for the German market. The team has grown to 76 specialists recruiters covering 12 niche technologies including the SAP team, the strategy is adopted to organise these specialisms into 5 areas of practice SAP | Data | Business Applications | Development & Integration | Cloud & Infrastructure. The annual incentive trip heads to the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba for 8 nights of, well deserved, sun, sea and recreation.

  • 2017

    A significant year of consolidation, capitalising on the successful sales and organisational strategies resulting in an impressive increase in revenue to £47m. The team grows further to 80 now organised across 5 technology practices. The destination for the now legendary annual incentive trip is the beach paradise of the Dominican Republic for 7 nights.

  • 2018

    Driven by ongoing success, the Netherlands office relocates to larger premises in the heart of Amsterdam, the flourishing tech and start up capital. The French subsidiary and office are incorporated as well as a new UK office in Penzance all helping grow the headcount to 110. Remarkable revenue growth is sustained reaching £56m. The year’s achievers were rewarded with an all expenses paid trip to the unique island of Cuba for 7 nights.

  • 2019

    Work in progress but we can already report citation in Recruiter Magazine’s HOT100 list but also singled out as HOT10 amongst technology recruiters. We are once more accredited by Best Small Companies to Work For employee engagement survey and included in the Best Small Companies To Work For In London list. Projected sales for the year £70m and as ever we are nothing if not confident., an anticipated headcount of 140 will help achieve this. The annual holiday reward for this year’s recruitment stars will be Cape Town, South Africa

2018 sees Next Ventures feature in the Recruiter HOT 100 list. Ranking in the top twenty and entering the HOT 10 Technology Recruiters, this acknowledges achievement of growing both headcount and GP per head.
